The Pod Mod Fishboard design is a completely redesigned version of the Pod, designed for an even shorter and wider surfing experience. This design is specifically designed for surfers looking for more volume without sacrificing performance. In order to be able to glide efficiently in smaller waves, the tail of this surfboard has been widened and the previous single-to-double concave has been replaced with a flat entry into a concave vee to allow for quick rail-to-rail transitions. In 2000, the original Pod Fish became everyone's favourite virtually overnight.

Experienced surfers should choose this surfboard 3-6 inches shorter than their own height to realise its full potential.

The PodMod Fish surfboard was developed in collaboration between CHANNEL ISLANDS and Al Merrick and manufactured in Torq Surfboards' X-lite2 technology. This innovative technology makes the Fishboard extremely light and durable. The board is available in black, white, red and blue and features 5 Futures fin boxes, allowing the board to be surfed as either a quad, thruster or twin fin.

    TORQ X-LITE TECHNOLOGY:

    Torq X-Lite technology takes innovative epoxy construction to a whole new level in terms of weight and performance. The core of the boards consists of a custom-made, high-precision EPS blank, which is covered with biaxial fabric and epoxy resin. On the top of the X-Lite boards is an additional layer of impact-resistant protective mesh that distributes impacts evenly over the surface and protects against dings and heel dents. The underside features a torsion-resistant carbon strip that controls flex and gives the board incredible responsiveness. The X-Lite construction is characterised by its more environmentally friendly production process and the impressive ratio of weight and robustness compared to the conventional PU/polyester construction.
